A Buffalo Plaid Christmas
Lately, I’ve been obsessed with all things buffalo plaid. I even decorated my son’s nursery in it! (post to come!) In our house, we always put up two Christmas trees. One that I get to decorate in any theme that I want, and one that is a live tree and is always multicolored for the children to enjoy. I’m also one of those people that puts up Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving :). I just can’t help myself! I love Christmas so much and if I’m going to go to all the trouble to get out my decorations, then I want to have time to enjoy them ♥.

I decided a few months ago that I was going to do a buffalo plaid theme this year with my Christmas tree. This tree goes up in our dining room, so I have a table to decorate as well!
I absolutely love the buffalo plaid!! I got this buffalo plaid tree skirt here. It really ties everything together!
Decorating my fireplace is one of my favorite things to do. It is the centerpiece of the room and I hope I’ll always have one to decorate no matter where we live ♥. These stockings came from hobby lobby. Apparently this is a hot item this year (2018) because the sales associate told me they were on back order! I did find some on Amazon that look similar here.
Here is my dining room table. I simply filled the glass vases with gold and red ornaments and added the table runner.
I just love this table runner! You can find it here! I love how the colors all come together in this room.
The buffalo plaid deco mesh really brings this theme to life! I got mine at hobby lobby. To do this nine foot tree as well as the garland for fireplace, it took 30 feet. I used twine and tied pinecones together at each gathering spot to create the decorative garland on the tree.
All in all, I think this room is just perfect! What Christmas themes have you used? I’d love to hear from you!
