DIY No Sew Pillow Cover

I’ve been working on giving my front porch an “up-do” without breaking my wallet. It seems that with a 90 year old home, we always have projects that we are working on and/or adding to our long list of unfinished projects, and with two kids 3 years old and under, who has the time to do anything else?
With that said, I wanted an easy a cheap way to give my front porch some color. So I decided on these “no sew pillow covers.” I bought my fabric at Hobby Lobby on sale and made three pillows for $10! You can’t beat that! Here are the step-by-step instructions!

What you’ll need:
- 1 yard of fabric per pillow
- An old pillow to cover
- Scissors
Yes, that’s it!!!!
Step 1:
Take a yard of fabric and lay it out in the shape of a diamond. You will want to fold in “width” of the bolt that was cut to make a perfect square. Just measure it down to the 36 inches and fold.

Step 2:
Fold the pillow over once.

Step 3:
Fold the opposite end on top.

Step 4:
Fold the end under, to create a straight line.

Step 5:
Fold the sides in, like you are wrapping a present.

Step 6:
Grab each side and pull together to tie a knot! You can tuck the ends under the pillow (seen in the final pictures) or you can leave them out. Whatever you prefer!

And there you go! Easy peasy!! I’ll be using this technique for all of the seasons!!

Happy Home Sweet Home!
